Ballroom bounce 2D
I enjoyed conveying the perspective of this brief as the ball bouncing around the room was a good way to learn and improve my understanding of object interaction and spatial awareness. The difficulty within this animation was getting the ball's shape to look similar in size and circularity. Kathy advised within one of the drawing for animation lessons to practice drawing rudimentary shapes, this would have helped towards this brief as the struggle to keep drawing a recognizable circle kept up throughout. It was interesting learning to create a new layer for the colour and shadow separately, and allowed me to easily differentiate the three.
This piece illustrates the bounce of a ball in relation to reality and with the added shadow it gives the ball more depth around the room, so it does not just seem as if it is floating. One aspect of the brief that I have missed out is the added shine to the ball, this would have given it a more three-dimensional look and even greater depth than it is currently; something to think about for future endeavors.
