Balloon Fall

Try 1

Try 2

Final cut

As you can  see from the above, I struggled with visualizing how a balloon floated down. In Try 1, I realized part way through filming the balloon did not look as if it was swaying in the wind and was doing too smaller swings, meaning I needed to widen the arcs of side movement.
Try 2, was moving far too quickly and was stopping abruptly at the corners as if defying gravity for a moment. What I was trying to create was the small pause that happens to balloons before they change direction, as if caught by a gust of wind. My result was to jerky and too little a frames taken to give it that smooth momentum.
The final cut was better at floating than the first two tries, however the motion was still too fast and only slowed down when the balloon was about to land, not giving the balloon enough time to look like it was gliding. I did manage to widen the arcs slightly in the middle, but not enough to portray the sweeping motion that highlights the balloons descent. If I re-do this project I should consider trying the end bump as it doesn't quite bounce high enough to relay the lightness of the balloon to the viewer.
