2D: Week 5
I begun playing around with the painting for the sky, using John Atkinson Grimshaw's painting as reference, and I liked the spray look however it wasn't quite defined enough around the edges of the clouds. I didn't know, however, how to blend on photoshop and it wasn't until I pointed out my problem to a friend that she suggested the mixer brush and I was able to create the second image with a much more opaque look. The third image was a great way to explore light and which sections had a larger brightness radius than others, how some sections were in complete shadow etc. It helped me learn the contrast of light and dark and how to apply this to art work.
